sdea Directory
Traditionally, more members join sdea to appear in our prestigious annual Directory than for any other reason.  It has proved to be an excellent marketing tool, attracting substantial sales leads from the UK and overseas. More and more of us now do our sourcing online, and our website has proved just as successful as the Directory for putting members and buyers together.

Your listing on our site includes all your contact details and most importantly, a hyperlink to your own site.  Once again increasing your exposure and your opportunity for sales.  With the launch of this new site there is now a ‘members only’ area where many of the benefits may be accessed online at any time.  See 'how you will save pounds' for more information.

The sdea Directory has a circulation of 12,000 while the website attracts 150,000 visitors - that's over 12,000 a month.

Our targeted public relations, editorial, advertising and direct mail campaigns in a variety of digital and traditional media mean that 80,000 retail display buyers are exposed to our promotion every month, keeping sdea at the forefront of the retailer’s mind.

By using the sdea logo on all of your own publicity material, you will increase your exposure to the retail world and gain notable credibility associated with the industry’s leading trade association.

PR planner
In addition, you will receive our PR Planner, the guide to the UK and overseas press, which gives you access to over 200 retail trade publications, their full contact details and lists of forward features on shopfitting and display.

Our telephone information service, is constantly busy with buyers’ calls.  We will pass these and online enquiries straight to you via telephone or email.  All sales leads are passed on within minutes of receipt.

exhibitions
sdea has a presence at the major industry exhibitions including The VM Show in March and the new easyFairs Retail show in May.  And, further afield, EuroShop in Düsseldorf is the world's largest retail display event attracting over 100,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors.

We always distribute the sdea Directory from our stand, encouraging visitors to take a copy in exchange for their business cards, which we use for future marketing campaigns. 
We will also display your brochures and marketing material on the stand for a nominal fee.  Members are often entitled to reductions and benefits at these shows – see the 'how you will save pounds' section.

meet the buyer
We organise an annual seminar called Meet the Buyer, where you will be face to face with senior buyers from principle retail and design organisations.

This gives you an invaluable opportunity, at very low cost, to do business with the people responsible for specifying and ordering your retail display products and services.

We also offer you a further range of seminars to help support your business and increase your sales.

From sales and marketing to health and safety, these seminars give you quality training from some of the finest industry professionals and all we ask in exchange is your time!

We organise many other business and social events that act as excellent opportunities to network and do business.  Even joining the Executive Council which meets bi-monthly and oversees the running of sdea can have its rewards.

A recent innovation is the sdea Training Academy which offers a full day’s training from experts in their field.

inter company trading
You will find that by being involved with sdea you will begin to trade with other members.  We will also market your business to other members by mailing out your brochures and publicising member to member discounts in the 'members only' area of the website.

databases
We also hold a number of databases, which can be bought at extremely competitive prices. You may like to target the sdea ‘top 200 retailers’, 300+ department stores or 200+ retail trade publications with your next new product launch or marketing campaign.

newsletters
We like to keep in touch and keep you up-to-date with sdea and the industry at large.
You will receive our quarterly newsletter, Shoptalk in addition to regular circulars helping to keep you informed.
