A manufacturer which produces stylish acrylic display units and furniture for shops, offices and homes is turning in a sparkling performance with record growth figures.
Steve Senior and John Gall, the entrepreneur owners of Luminati Waycon, decided there was only one way to keep the recession at bay, by investing in new products and markets. Their reward is a 17 per cent rise in turnover, taking it to £1.9 million this year.
The firm’s purpose-built factory, which employs 30 in Ivybridge, Devon, features production lines equipped with the latest automated technology.
From in-house designs, sheets of gleaming, sometimes brilliantly coloured or frosted plastic are cut, fashioned and polished into hundreds of different products from cabinets, leaflet displays, multimedia and photo frames, and cake stands to pieces of minimalist, retro-style furniture.
