New way to use Digital Media

4 December 2009

Fairfield Displays & Lighting has just launched a range of digital screens which have been designed for people who have not used digital media in their stores before.

So what is the quickest way to get started? Standalone screens that are just plug and play require no complicated wiring. So what can you do with this type of screen? Run simple digital poster campaigns, advertisements, training messages and special promotions. You could think of them like old fashion rotating poster systems but you can now have the possibility to run hundreds of different messages. Plus you can add sound and movie files.

For example Fairfield Displays & Lighting can supply screens from 19” up to 46” which are designed to run 24/7. They have a built in player which can run jpgs (still images) and megs (movie files) these can be combined together to run all types of presentations. In contrast to the cheap photo frames, the Fairfield professional unit is supplied with a completely free scheduling system that would often cost thousands of pounds from other suppliers and is included in the price of this unit. This allows you to set timings, effects and to run a tick a tape message across the bottom of the screen.

Fairfield will provide you with a full support service including warranties, they have been selling digital screens for over nine years and fully understand the diverse requirements of clients.

To maximise the effect of the digital you need a strong visual statement to draw visitors or customers to the particular presentation. Just hanging a digital screen from the ceiling or mounting it from the wall is often not enough. It is only when you combine a branded design or message around the screen that people start to look at what is on the screen. This can be achieved by using shaped acrylic panels with digital print. Fairfield Displays has developed highly attractive stands or can create custom designed panels which can go on the front of the screens.
